Alumni Candidates for Trustee

To the Editor:

Last year the two petition candidates at Dartmouth College won the two available seats for alumni trustees, and some 36 percent of voting Hamilton College alumni supported petition candidates as a well-qualified, credible alternative for governance ("Renegades Shake Up Trustee Elections," The Chronicle, March 10). Perhaps "gadfly" isn't quite the right word.
