Alleging Gender Bias, 8 Professors Sue Penn State
Eight women on the faculty of Pennsylvania State University's College of Medicine have sued the university, claiming that they have been paid less than male counterparts and have received fewer benefits, in a medical school that they say has favored men for decades.
The lawsuit was filed late last month in U.S. District Court in Scranton, Pa., on behalf of seven professors and an associate professor emerita of the college. It names a long list of defendants, including the university;
