All for One
The second floor of the Cambridge University Boat Club's boathouse here is a shrine to single-mindedness. It's a memorial to the joy and despair of setting your sights on a solitary goal.
No banners of conference championships hang from the ceiling. Few trophies sit on the shelves. Instead the walls are lined with row after row of identical plaques. On them, alongside the names of the eight rowers for every year's boat, is a single word. Seventy-eight say "Won." Seventy-three say
