Alberta to Share Oil Wealth With Other Canadians Via Scholarships
Alberta is setting up a national scholarship program worth millions of dollars to share some of its oil wealth with other Canadians.
Speaking in Ottawa last month, the province's premier, Ralph Klein, said 325 Alberta Centennial Scholarships would be available next year, 25 for each of Canada's 13 provinces and territories.
"It is Alberta's hope these awards will go to Canadians who need a bit of financial help to achieve their educational goals," Mr. Klein said.
