Alabama Lawmaker Named Chief of 2-Year Colleges

The quest for a leader of Alabama's two-year-college system is looking like a game of musical chairs.

The latest round was played this month, when Renee D. Culverhouse announced that she would resign as interim chancellor of the system and return to her job as president of Gadsden State Community College. She had been tapped for the interim position just two months earlier, when Thomas E. Corts resigned from the post.
