Alabama Board Selects Interim Chancellor of 2-Year Colleges; Director of Duke Institute Plans Broad Approach to Global-Health Issues; Wright State U. Promotes Provost to Presidency
TEMPORARY FIX: Thomas E. Corts, 64, the newly appointed interim chancellor of Alabama's two-year college system, does not have a tough act to follow.
The system is trying to recover from the dismissal of Roy W. Johnson, 61, who was fired last month over concerns about possible nepotism and his ability to lead during an investigation of corruption within the system.
