Air Force to Close 7 ROTC Programs
The U.S. Air Force plans to close Reserve Officer Training Corps programs at seven colleges where enrollments have been small. But at least one of the institutions, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, is protesting the move, which would remove a significant source of scholarship money for about 45 students.
The Air Force ROTC will shut down operations next summer at Grambling State University and the University of Akron. In the summer of 2007, programs will close at the New Jersey
