African Universities Get a Break on Journals; Preferences for Romany Students Are Rejected
The London-based Association of Commonwealth Universities has developed a new program to bring Western academic journals and periodicals to African universities.
So far, 51 universities and 11 publishers of academic journals have signed up, and the first batch of journals will be sent by September.
In the past, the rising cost of journals, declining library budgets, and weak African currencies placed most Western journals out of reach of African academe.
