African National Congress Archives Will Go to U. of Connecticut

The University of Connecticut is now an official repository of the archives of the African National Congress, South Africa's ruling party.

Under an agreement signed in Cape Town this month, the university's Thomas J. Dodd Research Center will organize and catalogue all of the party's archives and official documents, which fill some 5,000 boxes. Much of the material will be made available to scholars, and some
