Affirmative Action and Anti-Semitism
To the Editor:
Harvey J. Kaye's essay on facing anti-Semitism during his search for an academic job struck a chord with me ("How Facing Anti-Semitism Made Me Respect Affirmative Action," The Review, January 5). My much more recent experiences in search of an academic position have not included the most egregious examples that he cites, but I have also occasionally encountered anti-Semitism in both preliminary contacts with prospective employers and in campus interviews.
