Admission of Foreign Students to American Graduate Schools Continues Its Post-9/11 Decline

They're not coming to America.

The number of foreign students granted admission to American graduate schools dropped by 18 percent from 2003 to 2004, according to a report released last week by the Council of Graduate Schools.

The report, based on the second survey in a planned series of three, presents a new round of sobering data on the continuing downward trend in foreign graduate admissions since the terrorist attacks of 2001.
