Faculty members at the all-adjunct Community College of Vermont have rejected an effort to unionize backed by the American Federation of Teachers, The Burlington Free Press reported this morning. The vote was 260 to 144, a tally that reflected the views of almost 90 percent of the college’s faculty that was eligible to vote. The CCV Faculty Federation said the issues that had prompted the union drive—job security and health insurance—remained unaddressed.
