Adjuncts' Complaint May Delay Settlement of Lawsuit in Washington State
A state-court judge in Washington has tentatively approved a $12-million settlement between more than 1,600 part-time instructors at community colleges and the state officials they sued over retirement benefits. But payment of the benefits has been delayed by a formal complaint that the state did not adequately notify potential recipients about the settlement.
