Adding Instruction in Oral Communication to Courses Across the Curriculum
To the Editor:
Teaching more-effective oral communication is only part of the issue ("Taking Aim at Student Incoherence," March 26). Students who are expected to speak in their geology, anthropology, and economics classes will learn more geology, anthropology, and economics, since they will be more-active learners. In the bargain, they will become better at oral communication.
