Accreditors Warn 2 College Systems Owned by Career Education Corporation
Two for-profit college systems owned by Career Education Corporation were put on notice by their accreditors last month, the company has announced.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, which accredits six campuses of American InterContinental University, put them on warning status because of continued problems with "institutional effectiveness," said Tom E. Benberg, associate executive director of the association's Commission on Colleges.
