Accreditor Takes Texas Tech U. Off Probation
Texas Tech University is no longer on probation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the accrediting agency’s Commission on Colleges announced on Tuesday.
The accreditor placed the West Texas university on probation in December 2007, saying it had failed to submit data on time showing that its curriculum equipped students with college-level skills (The Chronicle, December 12, 2007).
