Accreditor Takes Florida A&M U. Off Probation
After a long bout in the spotlight because of its financial and managerial problems, Florida A&M University finally got some good news this week, from its accreditor.
The historically black institution, in Tallahassee, was informed on Thursday that it is no longer on probation, according to its president. The accreditor, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' Commission on Colleges, had placed Florida A&M on probation for two consecutive six-month terms.
