Accreditor Says Financial Woes Imperil Hawaii's Manoa Campus
The financial health of the University of Hawaii-Manoa has worsened so much in recent years that the flagship institution risks losing its accreditation, the university's chief accreditor warned college officials in a report last month.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges called the university's financial situation "serious and immediate" following a visit by an independent study team last spring.
