Accreditor Places Seminary on Warning
Unification Theological Seminary was placed on warning status last month by its accreditor, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. A warning is the mildest public sanction an accreditor can issue, and, in this case, it was prompted by concerns over finances.
Unification's president, Tyler Hendricks, said the seminary's problems date to 1998, when a business consortium eliminated its annual donation of about $1.5-million. That gift had made up approximately 60 percent of
