Accreditor Cites Auditing Problems in Criticism of 2 Louisiana Universities

The inability of two Louisiana universities to keep their records straight has once again landed them in trouble, this time with their accreditor. Grambling State University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe were sanctioned in June by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools after the state declared their financial statements unauditable.

In December, Daniel G. Kyle, the state legislative auditor, found that the two universities had inaccurate and incomplete records.
