Accrediting Associations Penalize 10 Colleges and Lift Sanctions on 7 Others
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools penalized six institutions in June, placing two on probation, the most severe sanction short of losing accreditation, and four on milder "warning" status. Two other colleges were removed from probation, and four were removed from warning status.
Other accrediting commissions put a total of four institutions on warning status, while one, the University of Guam, was taken off probation.
