Academic Institutions That Think Green
To the Editor:
Noel Perrin correctly asserts that each college and university must attempt "to manage its campus and activities in ways that promote the long-term health of the planet" ("The Greenest Campuses: an Idiosyncratic Guide," The Review, April 6). His suggestion that annual rankings consider attempts to behave sustainably is intriguing, reflecting academic institutions' responsibility toward both local communities and the global community.
