AT&T Offers Universities in the Southeast Access to a High-Speed Network in a Deal Worth Millions

A group of research institutions in the Southeast will get access to an advanced, high-speed fiber-optics network over the next decade in a deal with AT&T. The deal could be worth tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars to colleges and could give the telecommunications company an early look at innovations developed for the network.
