ACT and SAT Scores Remain Stable in 2004

Students who took the SAT in 2004 did about as well as their counterparts in 2003, according to results released last week by the College Board. On the verbal portion of the college-entrance examination, the average increased by one point, to 508; and on the mathematics portion, the average fell by one, to 518.
