ACT Scores Hold Steady in 2005

The average composite ACT score in 2005 held steady at 20.9 for the second consecutive year.

Yet officials at ACT Inc., which administers the test, said the results suggest that many of the test takers are not prepared for first-year mathematics and science courses in college.
