ACLU Threatens to Sue Nevada College System to Block Release of Student Data
Privacy? Priceless.
The American Civil Liberties Union demanded last month that the University and Community College System of Nevada stop selling the names and addresses of current and former students to credit-card companies.
Charging that some Nevada institutions are violating federal privacy laws, the ACLU said it was prepared to sue the university system if it did not prohibit the sale of students' "private information."
