ACLU Sues California Over Unequal Access to Advanced Placement Courses

A branch of the American Civil Liberties Union is suing California for not providing all high-school students with equal access to Advanced Placement courses.

The A.C.L.U. of Southern California filed the class action last week in a state Superior Court, charging that black, Hispanic, and needy students who attend high schools with few A.P. offerings are at a disadvantage in applying to colleges that consider
