AAUP Will Review Impact of 9/11 on Academic Freedom
The American Association of University Professors, disturbed by a variety of recent events that may limit academic freedom, last week created a committee to review and analyze incidents that occurred in the wake of September 11.
The immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks appeared to have little effect on academic freedom, but things have changed in recent months, said Jonathan Knight, associate secretary of the AAUP.
