AAUP Study Examines Faculty Retirement
Universities are much more concerned about recruiting and retaining faculty members than about retiring them, according to a report on retirement policies by the American Association of University Professors.
The report, "Survey of Changes in Faculty Retirement Policies 2007," is based on responses from more than 500 public and private colleges and universities, and updates the findings of an earlier study that was conducted for the association in 2000.
