AAUP Criticizes Post-Katrina Layoffs

A special committee of the American Association of University Professors has not tempered its criticism of personnel and program cuts made by five New Orleans universities after Hurricane Katrina, despite the objections of some state and university officials. Those objections, however, are included in the committee's final report, released last week.
