A new journal on race
A glance at the April issue of The Du Bois Review: A new journal on raceThe Du Bois Review: Social Science Research on Race is a new interdisciplinary venue for empirical studies of race and racism. W.E.B. Du Bois, whose The Philadelphia Negro: A Social Study (1899) pioneered the use of descriptive statistics in social research, would easily recognize the tone and methods used by the first issue's contributors.
He would also recognize many of their topics.
