A Tour-Guide Robot Roams a Smithsonian Museum
By JEFFREY R. YOUNGA robot tour guide, created by researchers, used its winning smile and melodic voice to charm visitors at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in a project that ended last week.
The robot rolled through a busy technology exhibit on the first floor, describing artifacts and activating its crooked smile -- actually a red ribbon attached to several motors --
