A Student Transfers, Reluctantly
In the story of Ashley Harris, Dillard University plays a large role. Her parents met as students at the historically black institution in the mid-1970s. And she knew the words to the university's alma matter, "Fair Dillard," long before she, too, enrolled there, in 2004.
