A Small College in Maryland Trains Union Members
The bookstore at the small college campus here would make Samuel Gompers proud. The shelves are lined with titles like Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America, The Disposable American: Layoffs and Their Consequences, and Organizing to Win: New Research on Union Strategies.
It is only fitting, after all, that the National Labor College, an institution created to educate union members, would stock such titles. But absent from the shelves are the biology texts, Shakespeare
