A Question for the Gates Foundation: Where Do You Want to Go Today?
Because of its size, but even more because of its potential for growth, the Seattle-based William H. Gates Foundation compels notice. A recent gift of $5-billion in Microsoft stock from Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, raised the foundation's assets to more than $10-billion. As a result, it is the fourth-wealthiest foundation in the United States, not far behind the Lilly Endowment and the David and Lucile Packard
