A Professor Uses Pizza to Lure High-School Students to a Food-Chemistry CD-ROM
"I thought, 'What kid would want to sit at their computer and look at a CD-ROM called Food Chemistry?'" says Bruce A. Watkins, a professor of nutrition and food science at Purdue University. Thus was born the Pizza Explorer, a program that teaches middle-school and high-school students about food chemistry by using a staple of most teenagers' diets.
