A President Cites Power of Diversity
The Rev. Paul Locatelli has been president of Santa Clara University for 20 years. He was recently appointed as Jesuit secretary for higher education throughout the world and will step down as president of the university later this year.
Q. What do you hope to hear from Pope Benedict when he gives his address later this month?
A. You have to understand that Pope Benedict is an intellectual, and he comes out of a university setting. So he understands and appreciates universities
