A Painterly and Sculptural Campus Center
Pomona, California -- The new academic and administrative complex at Cal Poly Pomona is as intriguing as a prehistoric pyramid, as painterly as a Georgia O'Keeffe canvas, as sculptural as the chapel that Le Corbusier designed for Notre-Dame-du-Haut in Ronchamps, France. The top of its tower resembles something out of an M.C. Escher drawing, its windows look like punch-card code -- and if all that is not enough, it has what looks like a zeppelin's passenger gondola suspended in the air
