A New Role for Culture and the Arts
A gentle breeze blows the orange-tipped leaves that have already begun to fall on a late-summer morning in the serene slice of New York City that is home to Queensborough Community College. Across from the student union, the art gallery, located in a recently renovated stone building, is slowly filling up with students who have come to view a couple of exhibits that — in one of the art capitals of the world — are also attracting attention from notable critics and art
