A New Provost Promotes Diversity and Women in the Sciences
Sue V. Rosser, who will become provost of San Francisco State University on August 15, has built a career around her passion for women's issues, in particular the participation of women in science.
When a headhunter contacted her about the job, she considered it an opportunity to try her hand at something new. The university's commitment to diversity, specifically, appealed to her.
