A New Journal on Race and Racism Emerges From Harvard
UNRECONCILED STRIVINGS: One of the best-known products of Harvard University's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research is Transition magazine, a cultural quarterly that has recently examined the Nigerian film industry, Ivorian-immigrant enclaves in Philadelphia, and the subculture of blackface performance in Japan.
Now Transition has been joined by a second journal that more directly reflects the intellectual legacy of the man for whom the institute is named.
