The University of California at Irvine is recovering from a case of institutional whiplash after effectively hiring, firing, and rehiring a law dean all in a matter of weeks.
While most people at the university appear ready to retreat from the glare of unwelcome publicity that the incident brought, some say Chancellor Michael V. Drake's handling of the Erwin Chemerinsky matter raises lingering questions
