A Global Marketplace Requires Study Abroad

My immediate reaction to Karin Fischer's November 17 story, "For American Students, Study-Abroad Numbers Continue to Climb, but Financial Obstacles Loom" (The Chronicle, November 21) was that students — and our nation — will be in greater financial jeopardy if we see fewer students studying abroad.
