A Gender Gap in Enrollments?
To the Editor:
The reduction in the percentage of male college students is neither surprising nor worthy of alarm ("Are Male Students in Short Supply, or Is This 'Crisis' Exaggerated?," November 3). The economic situation in the United States could not be any better, thus allowing more men to begin vocational jobs earlier, without the fear of layoffs or a lack of jobs.
Second, the influx of students into our nation's colleges continues to increase -- for both men and women.
