Thomas J. Snyder, a retired business executive, took a crash course in Ivy Tech Community College last year just before taking over as its president. In just 40 days, Mr. Snyder crisscrossed Indiana, visiting all 23 of Ivy Tech's campuses and meeting with faculty and staff members, students, and local leaders and business people.
