A 'Flawed' Study on Sports

To the Editor:

In a September 25 Sidelines item, you summarize a study done at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on college presidents' opinions about the impact of their big-time sports programs on their universities. I realize that you had limited space, ... but I believe that the methodology of the study is deeply flawed, and that you should have noted that in your summary.
