A Design of Their Own
Across the United States, too many community colleges look like high schools or strip malls, conveying intentional and unintentional messages about their worth. Their physical appearance does not reflect their distinctive mission, students, pedagogy, and community relationships. And at best, community colleges are designed simply as lesser versions of four-year colleges.
