A 'Demagogue' in the Pulpit
To the Editor:
Martin E. Marty's "Prophet and Pastor" (The Chronicle Review, April 11) glosses over the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.'s racially charged, unpatriotic, and anti-Semitic remarks. Marty's whole article is in praise of this demagogue in priestly garments. The renowned theologian willfully neglects to mention or explain "black liberation theology."
