A Dearth of Students in Arabic-Language Classes
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is desperately seeking Arabic translators to help sift through evidence related to the recent terrorist attacks. But if the number of students taking Arabic is any indication, the FBI may have a long road ahead.
While the number of those students has climbed steadily over the past decade, it doesn't approach the number enrolled in more-popular languages like Spanish and French.
