A Daily Dose of 'Good Poetry'

How nice it was to read Kevin J.H. Dettmar's "Garrison's Pretty Good Poetry" (The Chronicle Review, May 12)! I work at a university press that has been fortunate enough to have had a few poems it has published read on The Writer's Almanac, and I know the positive effects for poems and poets of exposure on Garrison Keillor's radio program. ...

Many of the poems he chooses are by the "great" poets (Wordsworth, Keats, etc.), and kudos to him for it. All too often,
